Bidirectional transceivers employ CWDM technology that allows two-way point-to-point communications over a single fiber. The devices listed here are designed for non-burst mode service.Several models are offered to include the data rates required by the application. The 125-155Mb/s models are suited for high speed data communications using either Fast Ethernet or SONET/SDH protocols. The 622Mb/s models are employed in video networks to transport MPEG video from a central office to a node. The 1250Mb/s models are used in high-speed data links including back haul services that support wireless/cellular radio equipment; or, high speed data services in the enterprise network.The dual data rate pair are used to extend the reach of traditional EPON networks and provide a robust point to point (non-burst mode) 2.5Gb/s downlink and a high speed 1.25Gb/s uplink.
