EPON (GE-PON) has evolved as the standard of choice for FTTH networks throughout Asia and Eastern Europe and will be deployed in large scale CATV FTTH systems in North America.The EPON models cover 99% of all configurations required by system builders and system providers.When it is necessary to transport the FTTH optical signal over a longer distance; or, to provision more subscribers from a single node the “PX20+” and “PX20++” models provide expanded network capacity.“Turbo” models provide for a 2.5Gb/s downlink and a 1.25Gb/s burst mode up link.The LTE3412 includes the EPON MAC inside the transceiver: a PON terminal in a single SFP housing.The triplexer adds the 1550nm RF/Video wavelength for CATV service.
