Ligent will showcase its range of XG PON transceivers at the OFC Exhibition from March 8 to March 10, 2011.The product line includes bidirectional XFP and SFP+ models for OLT and ONU service.XG PON is the international standard being developed jointly by FSAN and the ITU-T G.987 working groups.XG PON enables the bidirectional transport of continuous mode data at 9.953Gb/sec (OC-192) in the 1577nm downlink and burst mode data at 2.488Gb/sec (OC-48) in the 1270nm uplink.Models meeting Class N1 and Class N2a applications are offered.
